Entertaining the Kids on a Road Trip

Whether your off-grid or booked at a caravan park, it’s great to be near a camping spot that offers beach access, wildlife & space to explore, playgrounds and if possible, swimming pools! On a family camping trip kids really will have the time of their lives and a welcome break from screen time. From our own experience, and camping with other families, we would also recommend some of the following to keep the kids entertained:
- Bring the bikes, scooters and skateboards along
- Mini torches or headlights
- Marshmallows for toasting on the fire
- Games such as UNO & your regular deck of cards…we provide these in all of our campers 🙂
- Colouring books
- Jumbo chalks for colouring the footpath
- Beach toys… the bucket & spade, surfboard and boogie board
- Big beach sun shelter
- Books for Bedtime stories
There’s really no right or wrong way to enjoy camping with the family, it’s all about spending quality time together outdoors and making memories whilst exploring this beautiful country.
